Privacy
ChapterCV is built so your resume never leaves your device. There's no account, no upload, and no cookies. This page lists exactly what is stored and what is sent. Last updated October 1, 2026.
Your resumes stay in your browser
- Resumes are saved in your browser's local storage (key
resumly.v1) on this device only. We never receive them. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so download a backup to keep a copy. - PDFs are created in your browser. Importing a PDF, the ATS checker, and job description matching also run entirely in your browser. No file, resume text, or job description is uploaded, and no AI service sees them.
- Two small settings are stored alongside your resumes: when you last downloaded a backup (
chaptercv.backup.v1), and, for the current tab only, which resume and section you had open (chaptercv.session.v1).
Anonymous usage statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify individual visitors. It records page views, with the page address stripped of everything except campaign tags such as utm_source, and the referring site. It also records a few events, each allowed to carry only the fixed values listed here:

Events never include your name, contact details, resume text, job descriptions, or file names. Values outside this list are dropped before anything is sent.
We also use Vercel Speed Insights to see how quickly pages load for real visitors. It records loading-time measurements, the page address stripped the same way, and the type of device, without cookies.
Sharing
Share buttons open the social network you choose with a link to ChapterCV. The link names the channel (for example utm_source=linkedin) and never includes your resume. Nothing is posted unless you post it.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which handles requests to deliver the pages. Fonts and all app code are served from ChapterCV itself; there are no third-party trackers or ad networks.
Feedback
The Send feedback links open an email to hello.shrijislabs@gmail.com. If you write, we see your email address and whatever you include, and use it only to reply and improve ChapterCV. Please don't attach your resume unless you want us to look at it.
